Communication specialists estimate that from two-thirds to three-fourths of our communication takes place nonverbally through behavior. Behavior is determined largely by culture. What this means is that in order to communicate effectively, not only is it necessary to speak the language, but to “speak” a different culture.
Linking Languages utilizes these facts to enhance its approach when providing all of its programs and services for written, spoken and cultural communication.
Our instruction facilitates students with a close understanding of different cultural behaviors (corresponding to the target language) under varying and specific scenarios.
“We must learn to speak a foreign culture in the same way that we must learn to speak a foreign language”. D. Hall, 1959.
