We are able to create special programs with terminology and usage for different industries to address your specific needs and goals. Unlike academic programs and traditional language courses that focus on grammar and theory, our programs provide participants with real language skills and cultural information that can be used on the job - right NOW! Programs are divided into segments. Every segment is 24 hours and has very specific objectives.
These are some of the current programs that we offer:
- Portuguese for the Banking Industry
- Portuguese for the Insurance Industry
- Portuguese for Healthcare Providers (This program is presented in conjunction with the University of Houston)
- Portuguese for the Real State Industry
Our segments are:
- Surviving at Work. Basics of the language with specific terminology for your business are covered. (Recommended for students with little or no background in Portuguese.)
- Practical Portuguese at Work I. More complex grammatical structures are taught with extended vocabulary. This program covers important Cultural Information (Recommended for students who have taken Portuguese previously and can read a little.)
- Practical Portuguese at Work II. Designed to emphasize flexibility in the student's ability to speak Portuguese in all types of situations that might arise in the workplace with an understanding and sensitivity to Hispanic cultural issues. (Exclusive for students who have taken Practical Portuguese at Work I.)
The segments can be divided in the following ways:
